*Aqua Kriya Yoga is great for all body types and abilities. Students who can benefit are; stroke & cancer survivors, pregnant women, those with arthritis, wheel-chair or walker-bound, muscle and/or joint limitations, those who are overweight, or the senior adult community.

The nurturing environment of the water provides:

Little to no impact on joints, especially knees, hips and ankles

By improving balance issues, confidence and awareness are improved

Weightlessness in the water allows for joint access, muscle lengthening and organ toning

Strengthens pelvic floor and deep core muscles

Practice can be enhanced with pool props such as noodles, floats and aqua bells

The wall can provide assistance & resistance

Use of a walker is encouraged for some students

Builds community and inclusion, as a variety of body types and physical abilities can practice safely along side one another

Fabulous medium for a restorative or meditative practice.
